Break the illusion that something worth doing must be inherently difficult, exhausting, or time-consuming.
It's time to re-evaluate our beliefs about the correlation between hard work and value. What if the tasks we most desire to accomplish are not inherently difficult, but rather tasks we've convinced ourselves are difficult to avoid doing? This realization can open up a world of possibilities and make the seemingly impossible, possible.
Inversely, we also think that things that require a great deal of energy must be of great value, like the feeling of being tired after deep cleaning the house, which can take up hours of our time. But, what if that time we spent exerting ourselves didn’t accomplish as much as we thought, since the house will soon become dirty again, and maybe we could have put off the chore another week or two, in exchange for spending time doing a task we know we wish to accomplish but keep putting off.
